A Little Bit About Me...

While at Springfield College I started tutoring some of my fellow students in the areas of math and science for a little extra cash. I have always wanted to mimic the kind of tutoring I received as a struggling math student in middle school. I was never the best at math until I started to receive tutoring and everything started to click. The extra help I got in math was essential to my studies at the university level and all my previous coursework leading up. I want to be that tutor who helped everything click.
When I tutor I try and understand where they are having trouble and try to find the best way of explaining in a way that is beneficial to the student.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Physics as well as minors in both Mathematics and Exercise Science. Earning this degree as well as two minors has allowed me to gain a large amount of knowledge in both science and math. I graduated from Monmouth College with a B.A Degree in Mathematics while being a four-year starter and two-year football team captain. For the first two years I was a chemistry major and my science coursework included botany, geology, and astronomy. For example, I was a student that learned though hands on activities and writing. Having a teacher stand and lecture never appealed to me. Other children, and adults, may be more apt to retain through reading or repetition.
