Science and math is best taught using self discovery and inquiry. I use these methods extensively. Patience is necessary as you first model, then assist, and finally use practice so the student gains fluency in the skill. I plan lessons around individual learning style and ability. Tough love is needed so a student will reach potential as is recognition of progress. I used my tecnical skills in the real world for 35 years. Hence I bring real world applications that are relevant and familiar to the student. This experience gives me a large portfolio of examples and approaches to explain what are often abstract concepts.
