I have a BA in Psychology, MS in Zoology and BS in Computer Science. I have lifetime Arizona Community College certification in psychology, biology, ecology and remedial math. My experience with special populations includes: three years full-time on the Navajo Reservation; three years part-time at the SALT Center at the University of Arizona working with learning disabled students; and a hands-on nature camp for deaf middle-schoolers. My favorite experience has been the opportunity to design the curriculum, code the programs, and teach the student counselors for the U of A's Computer Science week-long summer enrichment program for teens.

I have the ability to model concepts by providing students specific examples. I believe that everyone has the ability to do mathematics. But in order to learn mathematics, they need to get their hands dirty and work on many problems. I am also a very personable, entertaining, creative, and intelligent person to be around during tutoring sessions. I want students to learn and have fun with math.
I graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Philosophy. Currently, I am finishing my M.A. degree in Mathematics Education.
