Experienced Tutor

I began tutoring my freshman year of high school. For my fours year of high school I worked at Kumon Learning Center in Los Angeles. Here, I learned a lot of my tutoring experience. I worked with children from the ages of 5 to 17. I helped these children in math from kindergarten math all the way up to calculus, and then in reading and reading comprehension skills from the younger kindergarteners to younger high schoolers. I enjoy working with children and try to teach children in a fun way so they do not become bored and can learn to really understand and grasp concepts. I also enjoy working with teenagers and am confident that I can help all high schoolers with different subjects they struggle with. A Little Bit About Me...

During high school I attended a special program, Health and Medical Occupations Academy, developed for students who wanted a career in the medial field. My high school classes were oriented towards the medical profession. In addition I was required to take anatomy/ physiology, biology, and several nursing classes. I am currently a 2 year medical student. Before entering medical school I worked voluntarily for an orphanage in Mexico. During my time at the orphanage (about 4 years) I participated in tutoring the children, of all ages, with school work and English.
I have worked with small children to adults, teaching English and school subjects. I work best with pre-teens- adults, however have no problem teaching small children.
