I believe in learning to do things the "hard" way for math, making change, etc. Calculators are good for higher functions and after basics are learned. My teaching style is simply and varies from student to student. I am a visual learner, once I see an example done; I try to use what I’ve learned to solve a similar problem. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping students understand mathematics. Math can be challenging, but when it is finally understood it can be extremely rewarding. I firmly believe that the key to mastering math is by repetition of examples rather than by studying complex theories. I frequently held Drop-In tutoring with the school's LEAD program. In addition, I would also do One-on-One tutoring when needed.
