I earned my B.A. in Spanish with a history minor from Baylor University in 3.5 years and graduated Magna cum Laude. I earned my M.A. in Spanish at Baylor University in May of 2010. I approach history as a story (albeit a very detailed one) and languages as a skill set. I don't do rote memorization, but instead emphasize the patterns, causes, and effects of concepts. If you can begin to understand the why and the patterns behind concepts, the material becomes more meaningful and a lot of the need for rote memorization is removed.
