My Motto: With each concept I did not know, there’s always a journey. Even if I don't know something, I will strive to learn it. This motto has proven to be very invaluable… even early on throughout high school as I received a full academic scholarship to a well respected and prestigious university. As a graduate at Transylvania University, I understand the struggles that school life presents. Either the teacher doesn't explain things in a way the student understands, or the student happens to lack the motivation necessary to be successful in that class. A Little Bit About Me...

I attended Middle Tennessee State University from spring 1993-fall 1997, graduating in Dec. 1997 (B.S. degree). My major is art educ., my minor is secondary educ. My teaching license was in art educ./K-12. I was a member of The Gamma Beta Phi Society, the top 15% of my class. My gpa was 3.2 and I won two scholarships. I did my student teaching at the Lebanon High and at the Las Cassas Elementary Schools in fall 1997. I taught art at Mt. Juliet Elementary School, and taught private adult & children’s art classes at An Invitation to the Dance studio in Murfreesboro and at the Murfreesboro Art League. I have tutored several students (math, guitar, riding, reading, art, etc.)and worked mostly in the graphic and fine arts for my living.

At a young age I was bilingual in English & Spanish which opened up opportunities for me to informally translate in my community.
