My name is Abel Araya and I love to write stories.

The summary of my experience has a lot to do with the concept of writing, both creatively and contextually. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing in 2013, and I've also had experience working with RuffaloCody, which is a company that partners with non-profit organization; it is designed help these organizations meet their fundraising and enrollment needs. In addition with working with RuffaloCody, I've also had time to work with a team of highly intelligent students in an editing group for Sphere Magazine, a literary magazine that showcases creative works (poetry, fiction/nonfiction, art, photography, design, etc.) that is primarily created for undergraduates, and by undergraduates.

My comments on tutoring Poetry : I have been teaching poetry for 5 years within the school setting. Some of my students have won awards with their poetry writing.

I have been working with the school system for several years. I am currently teaching a fourth/fifth grade split. I am very experienced in working with children who are at risk, special needs, and add/adhd. I have a proven track record of student growth in core subjects of 1 year 3 months. I enjoy tutoring and teaching and I work a great deal with parents in order to keep the educational goals on the same page for their child. I have experience in both the world of sociology and psychology. I am able to adapt to behavioral issues that plague some children. I work hard to really get to know the student and help them calm themselves if they should have test anxiety etc. Every child is unique and all children have to be taught in the way in which they can truly learn. I always teach with different styles due to my experience working in China, Ohio, and other areas.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Ohio State in June 2011 with a BS in molecular genetics. I graduated with honors and with a GPA of 3.657. I have taken the MCAT with a score of 33 (10-BS, 12-PS, 11-V). I have never worked professionally as a tutor but I have tutored friends extensively throughout my college experience. I have an extensive background in biology, physics, chemistry, and the humanities.
