A Little Bit About Me...

I have a recent Bachelor's in Accounting, as well as 15+ years of accounting experience in both private and non-profit settings. While working at Thornhill Education Center, I had the opportunity to work with students and help teach GED classes. My main focus was math. I also had the opportunity to teach a level 1 accounting class for community education.
I don't think I have really developed a "unique style" by only teaching a year or so. I am a very patient person and I really like to see the "sparkle" in a students eye, when they truly understand something for the 1st time. I like to explain a concept and then give the student a problem and see if they get it. If not, I will go over as many times necessary...until they understand the material.

I have advanced degrees, an MS in Clinical Psychology providing training in learning including evaluation of learning strengths and styles, motivation and an MFA in creative writing bringing the joy of reading, a thorough grasp of grammatical structure as applied to technical writing, nonfiction and fiction.
