Poor college kid trying to make a living

Friendly understanding and patient. You gotta relate the kid and make them want to learn if they are actually gonna listen and absorb the information.

I graduated High School in three years and have been employed ever since. My first job was at Newark Int'l Airport in the computer room as a data entry & computer operator for a small airline service. I have continually moved up with each employer. All of my knowledge comes from hands on, on the job education. I am skilled in all facets of computer from data entry to user documentation and training. I enjoy teaching and was a trainer for almost 5 years on Database applications for Sales, Marketing & Customer Service users. I was responsible for the USA, Canada, England & France.

During my four years at East TN State University (ETSU), I tutored college students in General and Organic Chemistry, and multiple Psychology courses. I also taught for Kaplan Test Prep in small classes and prepared high school students for the SAT and ACT. I graduated in 2004 with a BS in Psychology. I then went to South College to get my teaching certificate. I student taught for 16 weeks under two wonderful mentoring teachers, and started subbing in January 2005. I like to accommodate to a child's personality and likes to help them to learn through distinct processes.
