My passion is teaching mathematics. After a single year of retirement I missed teaching so much that I now either teach or tutor at three locations. In the classroom I have a casual, informal style that is more like a conversation with my students than a formal lecture. After presenting a problem for students to analyze and solve, my most common tactic is to ask a series of scaffolded (rather than Socratic) questions-designed to lead students to their own method to resolve the situation. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching very much. I am a very patient person and more than teaching the students I like helping them figure things out by themselves. I always try to create "real life" situations for them to use the knowledge acquired instead of making them solve abstract operations.
I have a BS in Cybernetics Engineering. As an engineer, my knowledge of math and physics is high. As a student I solved so many operations involving calculus that I memorized the formulas and used them as fast as the multiplication tables. I am a native Spanish speaker. I was trained as a language teacher by Berlitz, one of the best language centers in the world. I have a certificate in Drama. I worked for a private elementary school as a drama teacher for 2 years.
