A Little Bit About Me...
My passion for giving children the encouragement they need to succeed is paramount for me. I believe that because children are our future, it is a necessity that they have every resource to achieve their dreams. I am the oldest of six children and have a two year old myself, and that alone has put me in a position to be a leader, a good example, and a mentor. I can easily relate to people from diverse backgrounds, and believe that regardless of set-backs or frustrations, every child has the ability to succeed both in school and in life.
I'm currently a mentor/employee for a Museum, and am involved with science learning activities, exhibit planning and other activities/programs. My experience volunteering for the Special Education program at Duluth East High School helped broaden my abilities to mentor children. I speak fluent Spanish.
