Graduated with three degrees in 2012 from Arizona State University. I am a native to Arizona and I went to high school at Horizon in Scottsdale, Arizona. I went on to three community colleges taking classes at Paradise Valley, Glendale, and graduated in 2001 with my Associates degree from Phoenix College. I went back to get my bachelors in 2009 and stayed to complete three bachelor degrees from Arizona State University in Communications, Political Science, and Sociology. My comments on tutoring World History : Learning world history, not only from a text book, but also from life experiences from traveling the world, history teaches us, so that we do not commit the same mistakes of the past or past generations.

In my years of education, I found that some of the methods used for teaching these subjects were inadequately explained, therefore causing students not to truly understand how to apply mathematics and science in school and their every day life. I have learned how to tutor in these subjects from raising my own children, all of whom found these subjects to be hard until I showed them how to avoid the pitfalls of our educations system. All of my kids were A students and are now in college, none of them now have a hard time understanding the subjects and are excelling in their own lives.

I got 760 in my PSAT test I tutored my geometry teachers son and raised him from failing to a b level in 4 months. I got my CSET in History and Chemistry. I have all my crendentile classes done at CSULB. I left Long Beach before i could do my student teaching. In my Geometry class my teacher would have problems on his board and call on three or four students to try before he had me do it.

Teach students how to think, not what to think.

My teaching style is Socratic. Inquiry and discussion are my primary tools. I also teach history as an argument about the past for the students to develop rather than a set of facts and dates to be memorized. I try to teach without assigning homework.
I am currently enrolled at Northern Arizona University. I have completed three years of undergraduate study in history secondary education, have spent seventy hours working and assisting in classrooms, and earned a minor in Spanish.
