My comments on tutoring Study Skills : Will provide some basic strategies. No guarantees that it will work, as it comes down to the student's work ethic.

My experience in Tutoring is a bit fleeting only having done it in odds and ends; non-professionally at best, but as I see progress in others, it inspires ME to grow. Also knowing that I have helped in some small part further encourages me to help out more. I don't have any track record to speak of but I what I hope to provide for those under my wing is a chance to believe, as motivator Les Brown would say, "It's Possible that I can succeed!" THAT'S what students REALLY need to know.

I like to teach in any style if its one on one or group tutoring lesson. Either way I can help the student and help them individually with their work and have them work on what they need help on. There is also tutoring groups where the students can learn off of each other as well as with the help of the tutor. In this case more subjects can be approached and answer all the questions the students ask that can help other students as well.
While studying abroad in Spain this last spring I volunteered as an English tutor at a local elementary/high school. I helped the students learn to read, write and speak English and while I was there I got the opportunity to teach some lessons to students ranging form 4-18 years of age.
