Experienced Tutor with Expertise in Math and Social Science

I have been tutoring students of all ages since I was in high school. I began by tutoring my own peers in math and social studies. I would also tutor children from 1st grade on up in all subjects. Once in college, I tutored college students and younger in many fields, primarily mathematics courses. I believe that students learn best through hands on activities that allow them to internalize the concepts they are struggling with. Since my retirement I have tutored math to students in the Black Achievers Program thru the Lexington YMCA. I truly love teaching math and have always received very high evaluations. I started my college career pursuing architecture because I enjoy drawing and design. Realizing buildings weren't my passion and agriculture was where I wanted to go, I changed to a triple major in ag systems technology, ag business, and economics.
