I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1996. I began my teaching career in Monticello, Florida teaching 1st grade. I taught 1st grade for four years. Later I moved back to my hometown, Okeechobee, Florida, and began teaching 5th grade. I have been teaching 5th grade for the past eight years. As a recent graduate of Strayer University, Adult Education I have had the priviledge during my work experience to be able to tutor reading with first and second graders from inner city school program under the PNC BANK reading program.
