I earned my Bachelors degree in Oregon and starting substituting there on my way to a permanent position. In Oregon, you must have a teaching certificate to sub. By the time my first year ended, they had passed a tax reform bill and were actually laying teachers off. I came to Florida in hopes of getting a teaching position, but found the attitudes on education much different and chose to go another route. I still substitute regularly. I have always been driven to succeed, especially in school. I graduated magna cum laude with my BA in Communication this past December.
