One of the most important task in tutoring is building up a students self confidence. Some students have a learning barrier due to their lack of confidence in a given subject, so I believe a part of a tutors job is to build the confidence of a student, allowing them to believe they are able to do whatever they put their mind to. Coming from an academic family with a father who is a Philosophy professor and a mother who studied child developmental psychology, I understand the importance of a quality education.
