I attended Denison University in Ohio where I earned a B.A. in psychology, summa cum laude, with a minor in music performance (trumpet). I was a department fellow and tutor, primarily working with psychology and writing students, and also worked as a stage manager in the music department. After college, I headed to The Ohio State University where I earned a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology with a specialization in college teaching.
