As a Title I Para Educator I am responsible for working with students who need extra support in core academic areas. I teach K-4 students in a small group or classroom setting and on an individual basis. I currently have a case load of about 25 students that I see twice a day. I am responsible for planning my own lessons and corresponding with the classroom teachers to best meet the needs of the students. Additionally I participate in Child Study and ongoing Professional Development meetings. I typically try to match my teaching style to meet the needs of the particular student(s). I like to give examples of problems, and "problem solve" with the student through illustrative examples on paper or on the board.
