In High School I discovered that not only was I skilled in math and science, but that I was effective in tutoring other students in these subjects. I started professionally tutoring students younger than me when I was a junior and continued until I graduated college. I successfully tutored students in Algebra, Geometry/Trig, Algebra 2, Pre-Calc, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and SAT Prep. I have taught swimming and been a lifeguard through American Red Cross since I was 16, and in 2007 decided to take the next step and become an instructor for them. After earning my BA and CA Teaching Credential in English, my love for the language and subject drove me to complete my MA in English and Comparative Literature in less than two years. In 2009, I completed a profession editing certificate to add to my degrees in English and rhetoric.
