Chemical Engineering is one of my top subjects! I have been Chemical Engineering Professor for more than 30 years, being my expertise in Thermodynamics and Transport Phenomena (Chem Eng Principles, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Mass transfer, Separations Processes, Thermodynamics, Chem Eng Lab, Chem Eng Design, Chem Eng Research) and Particle Tecnology (Fluid-Particle Separation, Particle Size Distribution, Porous Systems) I can help in Process Simulation using Aspen HYSYS, Pro II, Inplant, PipePhase, etc)

Understand the basic phenomena is the best way to process engineering success
I am Chemical Engineer since 1983 and have been Lecturer at the Universidad Central de Venezuela for more than 30 years. I got my PhD at the Karlsruhe university (today Karlsruhe Institute of Technology). My teaching experience is mainly in Thermodynamics and Transport Phenomena, teaching among others Chemical Engineering Principles, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Separation Processes, Solid-Liquid Separations, Particle Technology. I have also some industrial experience in the alumina industry where have been process engineer during the plant expansion from 1.3 to 2.0 MMTPY at the end of the 80's. My research field is Fluid-Particle Systems in particular Solid-Liquid Separation, but also processes where particle size distribution affects the performance

A Little Bit About Me...

My philosophy of education is that everyone can learn and that it is my duty and passion to help them. Every person and every child has within them a unique collection of talents, abilities and ideas. Everyone has something special to contribute and everyone has something to teach others. My career as a teacher and my philosophy of education are in their embryonic stage. I fully expect my philosophy to grow and change as I do, hopefully becoming more defined and refined. I want to continuously learn new things so I can improve as a teacher. However, while I am evolving as a teacher, I desire to retain the belief that everyone can learn and that I will do everything that I can to help them towards that goal.
My BS and MS in Chemical Engineering degrees have given me an in-depth knowledge of concepts in math. During 13 years in the pharma industry, I used my skills to succeed ... read more

My major objectives for student learning include: 1) to effectively impart knowledge and principles based on student background, 2) to encourage and practice critical and independent thinking, and 3) to develop effective measures to determine what the student learned. Based on my teaching experience, I would simplify complex topics through basic examples, graphic illustrations, and analogies. I would be flexible and open to the use of new technological methods to facilitate learning such as the use of internet, electronic materials and computer softwares. I would encourage open discussion to give the students the opportunity to express their ideas and to accommodate their questions about the subject matter.
As a PhD in Chemical Engineering, I have a strong background in Math and Chemistry courses and am well qualified to teach high school and college chemistry and math courses. ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I have had a successful career as a medical scientist in hospital, government, and reference laboratories in the northeast and southern U.S., holding bench, supervisory, and leadership positions. I have two college degrees with published articles, and two national certifications, all in the sciences. For the past eight years I have been a substitute teacher and tutor in thirteen urban, suburban, and rural public school systems in Connecticut. I enjoy helping elementary school children improve their reading, writing, and math skills in a one-on-one setting the most. I also like to work with enthusiastic students (any level) who are science-oriented, and enjoy introducing them to scientific methods, experimental data, and microscopy.
My goal is to help your child achieve success. I explain real-life applications of the subject (i.e., metric system--repair of foreign cars.) I enco ... read more

More About This Tutor...

My teaching style concentrates on the task I ought to solve. If I teach a group of people, I give a brief exam first. Tutoring individuals allows me to concentrate on one person and develop a winning strategy to motivate and teach the student for the given subject. Repetition, breaking down complex problems to simple ones and enthusiastic explanation is mainly my style. I am always adjusting to the individual who has to learn.
I have been tutoring Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics since an undergraduate student. I also tutored English in Europe for several years and prepared my students for the TOEFL. I have been also teaching economics and finance because in 1995 I took the series 7&63 stockbroker licence and in 2000 I passed the LIFA, licensed international financial analyst exam.
