I currently teach children and adults a variety of classes including painting, drawing, mosaic making, printmaking, fiber arts and collage. I believe that everyone is an artist and that everyone needs creativity of some sort in their life to create balance. By making art, I believe that other areas of academics improve by exercising the right brain as well as the left brain. I like to put "boring" lessons into games to help children remember and understand what they need to learn or memorize for tests and quizzes.
Provide learning opportunities for students in areas of enhanced educational skills as identified, provide children the opportunity for improvement and advancement. My goals are to improve there understanding in a subject, and remembering certain things for tests and quizzes to get a great grade. Teaching is not for everyone, but I knew it was for me when I started student teaching and felt the adrenaline rush of 25 eyes staring up at me for guidance. I feel the need to spread as much knowledge as possible to the up and coming generations.I always feel rewarded when the day ends because I was able to help students get a better grasp on life. I also believe that the student is the teacher as well. Through my experiance, a student can teach an instructor just as much as the instructor can teach them.
