My comments on tutoring Dyslexia : I have had experience with two students diagnosed with dyslexia and was grateful to have caught it early on so to help both students and parents through this process. Most to all dyslexic children fell out of place in the class setting, because they feel they are not as smart compared to their peers. Its very important for these children to be motivated and have the help from parents, teachers and tutors to help them get through their insecurities.

I have taught elementary children, grades kindergarten through the fifth grade for three years overseas. I have also tutored for over four years. I was the head kindergarten teacher, phonics and reading teacher. I oversaw the kindergarten teachers, reviewed curriculum for each semester and school events. The subjects I have experience teaching are but not limited to phonics, reading, math, vocabulary and social studies.
I am a very outgoing and energetic but patient teacher. I will often push my student beyond what they believe they are capable of. For example, my lowest kindergarten class by the end of the fourth semester was reading second grade level books and worksheets. My strongest area of expertise in teaching is reading. I have taught it for years. I have come to the conclusion through both personal experience, observation of other master teachers and through current educational research that it is most necessary to teach reading and math daily in a systematic manner while exposing the students to a learning rich environment(a classroom reading corner full of books is ideal for this).
