My comments on tutoring Jazz Dancing : I have roughly 19 years experience with Jazz/Modern/Hip-Hop dance. I began taking lessons at age two and continued dancing until I was a senior in college (with the UNC-CH Starheels Dance Company). I also have three years of dance teaching experience for children and adults of all ages, both in private lessons and group lessons. I have choreographed dances for competitions and recitals, as well as offered additional coaching for children outside of normal class time.

I have a degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and have two years experience writing for the Daily Tar Heel. I have also completed internships with the local NPR station, WUNC, and with the organization AGRADU (Advocates for Grassroots Development in Uganda). I am highly organized, responsible, and driven, and am very personable. I work well with children and young adults; I am the oldest of five children and during high school and college, I worked as a dance teacher and nanny. I'm currently working on publishing my first novel.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a Dance teacher, choreographer and performer as well as a Yoga instructor. I've been dancing for over 20 years and teaching for about 10. I received a Bachelor's in Dance from Brigham Young University in 2011, with an emphasis in Modern/Contemporary. Since graduating I've been teaching, choreographing and dancing professionally and will continue doing so for as long as is humanly possible. I teach mostly Intermediate/Advanced level tap, jazz, modern/contemporary (but am open to teaching all levels) and Beginner/Intermediate level ballet.
