I believe the best way to learn is through experience and discovery. As an example, I can describe the intelligence of an octopus. But until you actually see a video of one opening a jar for a treat, do you truly realize it as a thinking, planning being. I feel that teaching an individual how to use available resources is just as important as the actual subject. Enabling a student to go out and discover the wonders around him/her through research and education is a wonderful thing indeed.
