My comments on tutoring GMAT : Took it, scored well, have tutored the non-math portion. Will tutor only non-math portions. Have some of the materials.

I teach to the student's strengths and continually tailor my instruction to my observations and assessments of the student's learning preferences and progress. I have 12 years of K-12 experience as a special education teacher, and nine years experience as a tutor. I have tutored, math, reading, phonics, social studies, study skills, science, test preparation, composition, and spelling. I am willing to try tutoring almost anything that does not pertain to advanced math or science.

A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating with a mathematics undergraduate degree in 1998, I have continued to study all areas of mathematics for the last 12 years. I have passed numerous actuarial exams that cover advanced mathematic topics as well as becoming a charterholder in the CFA Institute in 2009. I would love the opportunity to pass on my enjoyment of mathematics to others. I tutored extensively during my college years and feel I have a lot to offer the students of today.
I enjoy teaching and working with all children. I grew up as a teacher's son and now I am a teacher's husband so I have experience exploring different methods to help children learn. I believe I can pass on my education and experience to students and give them real world applications of the material they are studying. As an Engineer, I have lots of understanding of both maths and science. From my experience working as Maths tutor in Department of Mathematics in Western Michigan University, I have learned to be good listener and more responsible. I love teaching and helping others.
