My comments on tutoring Algebra : In Algebra 1, students are really learning the" art of problem solving". Compared to previous math, problems get more complicated, both in structure and presentation. Logic skills are required, in addition to the arithmetic skills taught up to this point. Complications arise when the foundational math is not strong, and/or there is difficulty in understanding the questions (often presented as word problems). Whether you need remedial help, or are looking to get ahead, I can help! I have been told I can explain concepts in a way that is easy to understand and easy to remember. Starting with your current math, and going back as far as needed, we build skill and confidence in algebra 1. I have proven strategies and have helped many. One client said it best, "It's simple.
