A Little Bit About Me...

As an education student, I saw many opportunities in that field. I also saw the diversity of learners, and the need for a diversity in the way education is approached. I began to challenge myself by removing limitations like language, and searching for alternative techniques to teaching students of different cultural, socioeconomic, religious and behavioral backgrounds. Through my efforts, I found that to teach is to learn twice over, and that teaching can be beneficial for the student as well as the educator. I fell in love with education, and will never look back!

I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others, especially children to whom I provide exposure and enthusiasm of learning and understanding, so that they not only understand what they need to know, but can discover that they want to know more and can find the information themselves. Because I continue to read books and search the internet to satisfy my own thirst for knowledge, I know where the resources are for my students. Each child wants to learn—it is a survival instinct; but each child is different and will learn in different ways. A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored and helped children from high school and young adults in college. I like to be friendly to those I tutor and am very easy going. I am very patient with people and do not become easily frustrated. I believe everyone can learn in their own time. I have graduated from UCSD with a major in Human Biology and a minor in Theatre. Through my schooling, I have learned a wide array of science from biology, chemistry, and physics. From lab reports and 2 years of intensive writing courses, I have a developed a strong foundation ins writing essays, papers, and research reports. I have been a Teaching Assistant for a semester in General Biology. I am able to help people learn to the best of their abilities if they need it.
