I am a 23 year old graduate of Vanderbilt University, Class of 2014. I majored in Medicine, Health, and Society, while minoring in Philosophy. I began my undergraduate career as a pre-mededical student, but eventually transitioned towards preparation for law school, though I completed all of the pre-med requirements besides Physics. Throughout my undergraduate education I became well-versed in the areas of General Chemistry, Biology, Algebra I & II, and English, among other subject areas. Prior to my entry into college, I took both the SAT and ACT, and scored exceptionally well on both of them. I am currently working as a paralegal at Peter T. Skeie & Associates, a law firm representing individuals in Social Security and ERISA disability claims. I will be attending law school in the fall of 2015, with my school choice TBD within the next couple months.

As a student, I was promoted from hostess to assistant controller of a restaurant within the period of one year and prior to graduation from the community college. I have over 20 years experience working in accounting and the last 12 of those years as the supervisor of the accounting department in roles titled accounting manager and controller. I have always hired new graduates and mentored them through their first accounting jobs. I have also encouraged each employer to pay their interns and have trained them as well.

I believe that the most important characteristic that a teacher must have is consistency. The teacher must develop a system of rigorous work with ample support. I believe that it is imperative to possess an in-depth knowledge of the subject which one teaches, not just be a few pages ahead in the book.
