I currently work full time as an administrative assistant at a Yeshiva Torat Emet, a private school in Houston. I tutor in the evening, and on weekends. I have tutored AP Calculus and 7th grade math for The Math Coach in Houston, TX. I previously worked as a Technical Writer for Brown Technical Publications. I use a Socratic method whereby the student is encouraged to think about the math problem and generate suggestions about how to characterize it. Once the student's mind has been stretched a bit, I begin adding hints that direct the student's thought process in the direction of the solution.
