Range

English and elementary skills are my best field. I had a college level english when I was in 8th grade. Math is an okay subject for elementary but I'm not the best at algrebra or higher. My spelling skills and writing skills are excellent. Like I have said before my total english level was a college level when I was in 8th grade. If you need help with your english or science it's a really good idea to come to me with it. I will work with the children to fit their needs in the subject. My teaching style usually blends in with the child's learning ability.

As a graduate of Arkansas State University with a degree in history, I achieved an excellent rapport with the faculty and the administration in the pursuit of my degree. I have a positive and patient way of getting through to students. Science was my favorite subject matter in college and I like to break down difficult information into terms that are easier to understand and follow. For example, I like to break down scientific terms by their roots. In doing so, my students not only remember what the terms mean for that class but can also apply that knowledge in future class work. I also believe in using reinforcement techniques such as repetition, writing, and regular revision/quizzing of the subject matter so that this not only keeps the information fresh but also make it easier to build on that information further.
