My job tasks were: As Student Advocate: -Work with at-risk elementary children, focusing on those who were diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. -Motivate children to learn and improve their conditions. -Meet with students one on one, in group settings, and classroom presentations on character building lessons. -Behavioral management and discipline plans -Keep track on truancy problems -Conduct Suicide Prevention Groups. As Paraeducator: -Help elementary students from 2nd grade to 6th grade in their writing and reading skills. -Work with students who have moderate to severe disabilities. -Teaching functional and academic skills. -Use appropriate techniques for student and classroom management. -Direct small groups of students in various areas of academics.
