French is one of my top subjects! I am a fluent speaker of French being married to a French native and having 12 yrs experience as a high school French teacher.

I have 11 yrs experience teaching in a California high school setting and 5 years experience as a tutor for ESL and for French at OSU, 3 years experience teaching English in France and lived in France for 7 years. I also have taken many students to France on EF Tour trips. I have advised French clubs for 12 years.
I use a variety of methods, some TPR, traditional, CLT, Natural Approach, some immersion, audio - lingual. I am always looking for fun ways to teach and I feel that students learn so much easier when their teacher is as enthused as they are about learning the language.

I like to teach using examples, either on a board to show a person step by step first. Then try to give the student examples to try to solve themselves. If this does not work I continue to breakdown a problem until we can clearly identify where the student is having trouble.
I have helped tutor friends’ kids on math from little school to high school. I have taken math all the way up to Differential equations and feel alright tutoring up to calculus one. I do not possess documented experience from schools or other organizations. I am a very highly motivated individual that does not mind helping others. I also have experience in teaching or helping coach little league sports educating kids on how to play games correctly. I graduated from my Master´s at West Virginia University in May 2010. Spanish Literature is my main area of concentration and Linguistics is my second area of concentration. As a full time student and a full time employee of the General Electric Company I did not have the time to goof around.
