I prefer as much conversation as possible. The best way to learn a foreign language is to be as immersed as possible. I also think the importance of culture should be stressed and taught. I believe in an interactive environment using the language to learn about foods, people, places, and ideas. The language and culture should be taught as one. English is one of my top subjects! Experience teaching English as a second language in Germany

I like to speak, slowly and thoroughly, in the language I'm tutoring in. For example, I would conduct most lessons in German, but at a slow and comprehensive pace, so that students are able to "pick up" on the German language as if it were second nature. If there is an issue with miscommunication, I switch to English, and explain the concept again in German.
I am currently working on my Masters in German Studies, as well as getting my teaching license. I have plans to go through the TEFL program to earn certification in teaching English as a Foreign language. I have been studying and teaching German/ESL since high school.
