I held this position for two years along with a summer position tutoring Algebra and French with HEC Upward Bound, which service at-risk youth. I found both programs extremely enjoyable and found that all of my students were eager to learn and improve their skill set. It has been my experience that each student has his/her individuals needs and that each learns differently. From the moment I began French in high school, it became a passion for me. I took 4 years of courses in 3 years' time, and tested into 4th semester level (highest possible) French upon entering college. I knew all along I wanted to be a teacher, thus becoming a French teacher was perfect logic. I earned my BS in Ed, and having attended a liberal arts college, making cross-curriculum oriented lessons was easy with the diverse studies I had done.
