A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated with my Bachelors from the University of Tennessee. My degree is in English, but I have tons of experience tutoring in just about everything. The ages I have tutored most is older elementary, middle, and high schools as well as college. I can especially help prepare students for college and help them succeed in college. I have taught 5th and 6th grade ESL students for this semester, and I have taught English two summers in Korea at intensive English immersion camps. I have also tutored adult and college level students in English at UT while obtaining my degree and enjoyed it the most. Having quality one on one or small group time is the best for students to acquire the knowledge they need, and have instructors that can focus on their individual needs. Not only did I tutor students, but I also helped colleagues whose first language was not English with assignments and my college roommate who was from Taiwan. I have had the opportunity to work and help develop young minds for a few years. After college, I tutored full time at a high performing urban charter school where I worked on basic remedial skills with students. I have continued to work with young people to build confidence in their skills and improve their performance in school and on tests.
