I recently graduated with my Bachelors from the University of Tennessee. My degree is in English, but I have tons of experience tutoring in just about everything. Although I have not formally been in the classroom since 1998, I regularly tutor my own children. While in college at MTSU, I was a substitute teacher in Rutherford County for 3 years, mainly substituting at Central Middle School. I also did various volunteer tutoring in the Elementary schools as class credit toward my degree. Due to having my oldest child my senior year of college, I was forced into the general workforce due to finances, and do not have any formal teaching experience outside of substituting. I have substituted and tutored in Math, Reading, English, and Science; Language Arts and Science being my strongest areas of concentration. While still in high school and also during my college years, I was always helping others excel in education. Offering study sessions to elementary and junior high students helped me understand what brings out the best in each child. To earn my degree in Business Administration I had to constantly practice math and English. Taking computer classes in college and on the job training gives me first hand knowledge of computers. I became the Language Training Director for a language services company. I supervised a teaching staff of 150 instructors who gave language instruction to businessmen and women who were relocating for business purposes.
