I begin by assessing the student's abilities, determining both their strengths and weaknesses. I make sure to have a solid understanding of what the student wants to gain/learn from the tutoring session. After the initial assessment, I focus on relevant problems, and explain my thought process in detail. I have the student work their own problems and approach each problem with the method I have taught them. I believe it is easier to grasp complex/technical math and science problems when you provide real life applications, so I also work to introduce these scenarios during the tutoring session.

I enjoy finding out a student’s area of difficulty and address it directly. Students have different learning styles, it easy for me teach in a variety of styles so that to make sure my students understands. I do also apply almost everything I teach to real world situations, for example most young students may think that learning about triangles will not benefit his/her career in business. As his/her teacher I will show the student how one can use triangles to determine where to built a manufacturing company equidistant (meaning the distant between each raw material supply place to the manufacturing place is the same) to three raw material supply areas, which are not in the same place.
