My experiences have been varied. I taught Family and Consumer Science for two years. Life experiences broadened my world view and I obtained a master's degree. When I was in 7th and 8th grade I participated in America Reads where I helped teach elementary children how to read. In college I assisted with my church youth group and led classes approximately once a month for two years. During 2010 I volunteered with a Kindergarten class. I assisted the students with in-class assignments in writing and math. I hold a bachelors degree in accounting with a minor in vocal performance. I also studied German during this time. I have changed my major a few times from Music therapy, to music, to music education, then finally I just decided that I just wanted to do education. I am a recent college graduate with a bachelor's degree in TESOL. While a senior in college, I taught an intermediate ESL class for a semester and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also minored in Business/Office Administration and took specialized classes in Windows Vista and Microsoft Office programs. In addition, I have taught beginner and intermediate private piano lessons for two years.
