I am a life-long learner, both academically and professionally with a diverse professional experience. I have an MS degree in Public Health and a BA in Biology. I have professional experience as a cell biology lab technician, sales representative, medical science liaison, product manager, and as an adjunct faculty member at a local community college where I taught biology, microbiology, botany, and human anatomy laboratory courses. I come from a family of teachers. My first teaching job was as a ski instructor when I was 15 years old.

A Little Bit About Me...

The bachelor degree that I earned in Business Management required a substantial academic effort on my part. Writing the essays, business evaluations and case studies was at times overwhelming to me but I was able to complete them in a satisfactory manner. The fact it was difficult helps me to project myself into the various viewpoints of my students so that I can impart to them a clearer understanding of the targeted subjects. I never realized exactly why people go into teaching until I gained first hand experience. Teaching is one of the most rewarding things one can do as a profession. When I first started lab instructing, I immediately fell in love with it and did it as long as the university allowed me. I look forward to any teaching opportunity that may come my way in the future.
As a Weber State graduate, I majored in Zoology and minored in Chemistry. Even though science has always been a passion of mine, I am very knowledgeable in math.
