A tutor has a unique opportunity to quickly learn the teaching styles required for the individual student. This is best accomplished by listening carefully to the student to establish where the roadblocks to learning are occurring. As a current undergraduate chemistry and honors student at Arcadia University, I was recommended to become a tutor from several of my teachers my first year in college. I became a certified CRLA tutor and started tutoring my sophomore year of college; I've been tutoring ever since. I tutor chemistry, biology, math (beginner algebra, statistics, calculus I and II), and calculus based physics.
