A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of a small junior college I believe one on one teaching gives students the advantage over a large group because the child can receive the necessary attention for learning skills in reading, writing and math. Many children learn differently some are visual learners,some are audio etc. I have been instructed through various techniques in reading with chilldren that will help them achieve a higher reading level of success. I am a hands on person where math is concerned allowing the child to use mannipulatives. Taking time to explain until they understand. In reading we can do shared reading and other techniques.

I have a very long history in school -- I have been in and out of school for many, many years, staggering my diploma, bachelor's, master's and doctorate across 25 years interspersed with jobs in industry. I believe learning is a lifelong process and that it never ends! I have a diploma in public relations, a bachelors in telecom, a master's in mass communication, and a doctorate in communication. My areas of focus have been advertising, public relations, and journalism and I have worked in all those fields -- I believe that writing and good communication are essential! As a recent graduate from the University of Alabama, I have possessed a passion for learning in hopes to become a doctor. I have earned a BS in Biology and a MS in Human Environmental Science. These degrees have provided me with vast knowledge in the fields of science, medicine, and math.
