I have been involved in various aspects of teaching and tutoring for the past 14 years. I have tutored students one-on-one for reading, writing, and math, and have taught private music lessons for voice (since 2005), violin (since 2005), and piano (since 2004). I also taught fourth grade in an elementary school. I have taught children to read before kindergarten (one fluent by age 2-3, one fluent by age 3-4).

Normally, I am able to advance a child a grade level in reading with three months of tutoring and reinforcing homework, during the summer. I have spent most of my adult life helping children learn. I have worked in childcare facilities, as well as in public and private schools and as a private tutor. I have taught or worked with preschoolers through 5th graders. I've worked with special needs children, as well (ADD/ADHD, LD, ED, and ODD, for example).
