A Little Bit About Me...

I am patient but firm. In order to be a success in the business world, one must be able to write and speak the English language correctly. If the student knows English, everything else in general business can be taught. Thus, in a tutoring environment, I try to make learning fun and make a game out of speaking and writing proper English. I believe that every child can learn even those that are handicapped. My mother was a specialist in teaching trainable children and got them jobs after graduation. Being around children with IQ's around 60 gave me special insight and understanding.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with all types of people, as helping people is a great passion of mine. I find it effective to teach by relating to something that the person I am teaching really enjoys. For example if they love basketball, I may try to relate the subject to it, to make it easier to learn. I have a lot of patience and usually have no problem helping someone. I know all it takes is time and hard work to achieve their goals.
I have tutored slightly at my present community college. I tutored math. I have my Associates of Arts degree in Psychology and am currently in the process of obtaining my Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Education. I plan to teach Psychology in the future.

I have taught all ages and levels from preschool through community college. I have enjoyed working with students at all ability levels. I was a peer tutor as early as elementary school. I have taught mathematics at the elementary, middle school, high school, and community college levels. I have helped the top students excel and push ahead of the class, and helped the bottom students gain proficiency in the subject matter at hand.
