I believe that people learn in different fashions. For example, I feel that some concepts may be better explained with tangible objects while other concepts are learned better when questioned and discussed. By exploring the different ways of learning we can find what works best for that individual and use that method as a tool for their understanding. I feel, in the past, that many of the peers I tutored not only obtained/recollected more information, but were more comfortable in a quiet, relaxed environment. Attending a private liberal arts college taught me to push myself to be the very best I could be. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Classics with an emphasis on Greek, and a minor in English. I tutored for a January term Beginning Greek class, as well as whenever students stopped in the office and needed help with Greek or Latin. I have proficient language and mnemonic skills, since I studied the roots of language for 7 semesters. I enjoy proofreading and editing, and consider myself to be a "word nerd."

With students, I help to make them better writers by helping answer questions, presenting questions, working through the brainstorming and paper-writing process, and helping with formatting. As well, I have helped to coordinate our second satellite location, which entails working with people on their schedules, managing conflicts of schedule, and serving as a head of the second location.
