I am kind of new to teaching. I have taught my little brother everything he knows, and I've been told I have a really good way of teaching. Younger students catch on very quickly to what it is I am teaching. If they don't catch on quick, then no problem. I'm very patient and never give up until a student understands the concept. A Little Bit About Me...

When I teach I also learn from my students. I am open to ideas and creativity. I am patient and I believe a child should never be forced to learn. Learning should be exciting and it is the right of a student to progress at his or her own pace.
I graduated with a degree in English while devoting time teaching kids and even adults martial arts. Also, I have tutored many of my younger cousins during their elementary school years and currently middle school as well. I have published two poetry books and am planning on writing a third book. I am a trained researcher in molecular biology, with a BS in Neurobiology, Physiology, & Behavior, and MS in Nutritional Biology. I spent some time as an undergraduate volunteering at a local teen center as a one-on-one tutor in math and English (essay writing). As a graduate student, I taught an upper-division laboratory course in current biotechnology applications related to protein and DNA analyses.
