My teaching style is very patient, kind, and laid back. I believe that everyone has the potential to learn and finish the work they are given, so I very rarely tell someone how to finish a problem or correct a sentence. Instead, I give suggestions of things to think about and ask a lot of questions so that the student can get to the answer themselves. I will gladly point them in the right direction but hesitate to ever point to the answer as I feel the lesson is very easily lost. I see a power in one-on-one teaching/learning and therefore have a great appreciation for tutoring.

Having been a lacrosse coach for the past five years will really help me assist every person I tutor in reaching his/her goals. Every child is different, and I have found that finding out how a child learns is just as important, if not more important, than the subject material itself. I am a big believer in setting goals and having a concrete plan as to how we are going to reach those goals.
