A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is basic. I feel it is most important for a student to grasp the basics before they can move on to more complicated subject material. I also am a strong believer of parental involvement. A parent knows their children's learning patterns best. I like to use different approaches. Activities that are visually and mentally stimulting help to form a connection between the student and the lesson. It is important to me that each of my student's set and acheive goals.
As a high school student, I attended Tiffin University to gain college experience and credit earlier than expected. After graduating from Clyde High school, I went on to Ohio State Mansfield, where I majored in psychology and special education. I am currently a full time student at Ashford University online. As a Psychology student, I understand the importance of learning. I tutored middle and high school aged children in all subject areas, particularly in math. Having attended Heidelberg College and receiving a Bachelor's degree in English, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Theater/Communications, I feel I have the necessary experience in order to educate others. Furthermore, I will receiving my Masters degree in English from Tiffin University this spring. With my educational experience as well as classroom experience I feel that I am fully capable, as well as eager, to teach others.
