Classical violin training, I believe, is more effective than Suzuki. In language acquisition, I can work with a student to simulate immersion in a foreign language, or create building blocks towards thinking like a fluent/native speaker.

I have helped a number of adults & children improve in math, reading, writing and study skills. Generally a client should meet for three hours a week for best results. Tutoring in most subject areas at all grade levels from elementary through college is available. I can work with the student for the entire semester or school year, or I can help the student through a challenging topic.

I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1980 with a BA in psychology. Hoping to go further with those studies, I took the GRA exam and planned to begin the Master's Degree program that fall. However, I was married when I was in college and by graduation, I found out I was expecting our first baby in the coming fall, so I laid those plans aside to be a stay-at-home mom , and once she was ready for kindergarten, I had researched all the school/education options thoroughly and decided with my husband that we should homeschool.
